How to Make Halloween Crack:

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Arrange graham crackers in a single layer on the sheet.

Make the Caramel: Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, stirring until it becomes bubbly and thick. Pour the hot caramel over the crackers and spread out evenly on crackers.

Bake It: Place the caramel coated crackers in the oven for about 4-5 minutes until the caramel is bubbly and evenly spread.

Add the Chocolate: Once you take the crackers out of the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Wait a minute for the chocolate to soften, then spread it into an even layer.

Top with Halloween Fun: Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle your choice of Halloween candies and decorations on top. Press them in lightly so they stick.

Chill and Break: Refrigerate the candy for at least 2 hours to let everything harden. Once it’s set, break the sheets into uneven, bite-sized pieces.

Ingredients

  • 18 cinnamon graham cracker sheets about 2 packages of crackers
  • 1 c unsalted butter 2 sticks
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 12 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Halloween Sprinkles
  • Eye Candies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the 18 graham cracker sheets on top of the parchment paper, cinnamon side up with the crackers touching.
  • Melt butter and brown sugar in a small/medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes, whisking constantly until thick and bubbly.
  • Pour the mixture over the graham crackers and spread with a spatula so all the crackers are covered.
  • Bake in the oven at 350℉ for 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle on the chocolate chips. Once they have stated to melt, spread with a spatula evenly across the crackers.
  • Top with the candy toppings of your choice.
  • Place pan in the fridge until the chocolate hardens, about 2 hours.
  • Break into pieces and serve.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight contianer.

Make It Your Own: You can switch up the toppings based on what you like or for different holidays! Try mini M&M’s, pretzels, or even drizzle white chocolate for an extra fancy touch.
